The Scoop:This all-volunteer food pantry has been operating in Arapahoe County for more than 20 years. Covenant Cupboard welcomes helping hands year round on Friday mornings to unload and sort food and then in the afternoons to distribute supplies to clients. During the holiday season, items especially needed include one-box desserts,gravy, chicken broth, stuffing mix, canned green beans, sweet potatoes and corn.

The Scoop:Senior Hub serves older residents across the metro area, including in Aurora. Help keep pantries and closets full as the temperatures fall by donating to the nonprofit’s holiday food and essentials drive. You can drop off supplies including canned goods, pet food and toiletries through Dec. 15 at two locations: 9025 Grant St., No. 150, in Thornton and 10190 Bannock St., No. 104, in Northglenn. The Scoop:This project from the Colorado branch of Muslims Intent on Learning and Activism serves those in need on a monthly basis. Ansar Pantry distributions include three to five days of food, toiletries such as deodorant, diapers and toothpaste, and clothing, if needed. You can help during the holiday season by collecting and delivering supplies.
