Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of suspects in a smash-and-grab burglary in which they rammed the front door of the business to gain entrance.
The two males – along with 5 other suspects – allegedly burglarized the business at 875 N. Navajo St. at 1 a.m. last Thursday.
The suspects wore hoodies to obscure their identities but did not completely cover their faces, according to a Crime Stoppers bulletin.
A rash of similar have plagued the Denver metro area the past 18 months.
The thieves often steal trucks or SUVs and crash them through entrances of gun, convenience, and cannabis stores. They wear gloves so that they don’t leave fingerprints.
A task force of local, state and national law enforcement officers recently formed by the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have aggressively gone after the suspects, in part because of the concern that criminals will use the guns they steal in violent crimes.
