This holiday season, LIV Sotheby’s International Realty brokers and staff will once again participate in the Christmas Family Adoption Program in support of Denver-based charity Heart and Hand. The local non-profit organization provides tutoring, sports programs, art therapy, emotional support, meals, summer camp programs and other necessities to children in the program, in addition to championing the Christmas Family Adoption Program around the holidays.
“Emily Henderson and LIVSotheby’s International Realty’s support has made it possible for the Heart & Hand Center to ensure that all of its children, and their entire families, are able to celebrate this holiday season,” said Blaine Heydt, CEO, Heart and Hand Center for Youth and Their Families. “We would not be able to provide this service without Emily’s coordination and the generous contributions of LIV Sotheby’s International Realty’s brokers and staff.”
The Christmas Family Adoption Program is an annual Heart and Hand tradition that entails collecting gifts for entire families in need around the holidays. Families are provided with wrapped gifts and a gift certificate to a grocery store to purchase a holiday meal. This is the sixth consecutive year LIV Sotheby’s International Realty has supported the event.
LIV Sotheby’s International Realty broker Emily Henderson, out of LIV Sotheby’s International Realty’s Evergreen office, volunteers to champion the gift collection on behalf of all those from LIV Sotheby’s International Realty who donate — a number which increases year by year. To date, the brokerage and staff have successfully supported dozens of families, contributing to the ongoing success of the Heart and Hand organization and its efforts.
In addition to helping children, Heart and Hand also supports adults in need by assisting parents and guardians in locating emergency housing, paying utility bills when unable to do so, and by offering career workshops and computers for parents to use for employment. “Our Heart and Hand Center families have expressed gratitude and awe for the work Emily and LIV Sotheby’s International Realty do,” said Heydt. “They have told us that often these gifts are the onlyones under their tree. They have cried and hugged us, thanking us for relieving the stress of the holiday season. We can’t thank LIV Sotheby’s International Realty enough for all of their support!”
