Denver police have taken a 13-year-old boy into custody in connection with a Thanksgiving shooting outside Manual High School that injured three people.

Javeon Brown was taken into custody in Northeast Denver without incident, according to the Denver Police Department.

The shooting happened just after noon Thursday in the 1700 block of East 28th Avenue near Manual.

The three victims were sitting in a white sedan when the suspects approached the car on foot and opened fire on the car. They then ran away from the school, police said.
One of the boys was struck multiple times and was in critical condition after the shooting. Another victim was shot in the arm, and the other wounded in the leg. Their identities have not been released.
Police have said the incident involved only the suspects and victims. They do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community, although a motive has not been released.
