Re: “,” Nov. 21 news story.
Under chairman Ajit Pai, Donald Trump’s Federal Communications Commission has waged a profoundly undemocratic crusade to gut net-neutrality protections. The fraudulent use of Americans’ identities during the FCC’s public comment period is under investigation. More than a dozen senators have called for Pai to be investigated for quid pro quo. Meanwhile, the FCC has released a plan to fundamentally re-invent the basic business model of the internet: to empower internet service providers to charge consumers like me more for less, and control what content I’m able to access online through paid prioritization and throttling.
This is a disaster waiting to happen — and so far, Sen. Michael Bennet has remained silent. So I want to be clear: I’m a single-issue net-neutrality voter. I won’t support any representative who stands by while Ajit Pai kills net neutrality. We need bold action, and Sen. Bennet should be our ally. Where is he?
