The Scoop: The Leopold brothers brought their distilling business to Colorado in 2008 and haven’t looked back. Sitting just across the Denver-Aurora border north of Interstate 70, this distillery pours spirits that range from aperitivos to whiskeys. For $5, you can sample up to five spirits in the tasting room; $20 will get you a tour of the distillery on weekends. And you’ll be doing good too: Net proceeds from tour tickets benefit Colorado nonprofits.

The Scoop: Ursula Brewery previously operated as Coda Brewing Co. and opened under the new moniker in February 2016. Once known primarily for American ales, the staff has worked on expanding its offerings to include Belgian, German and other global and historical styles of beer. Ursula has a sister restaurant, , across the street that delivers when the munchies strike.
