An explosion in a detached garage in northwest Denver on Tuesday afternoon is being investigated as a hash-oil incident. The Denver Fire Department reported the incident at 3:06 p.m. at 4855 Hooker St.

Two people were injured in the explosion and taken to a hospital, the fire department said. Fire crews were trying to stabilize the garage, which partially collapsed.

The incident was likely caused by “butane hash oil extraction,” the fire department said.
