
Broncos Grades
Offense: F. The Broncos’ offense was unable to score a touchdown. The only points they were responsible for came on a first-quarter field goal. threw three interceptions, including a pick-six, in perhaps his worst game overall in a dismal season.
Defense: C. Denver forced three turnovers and scored a touchdown on safety ‘ 65-yard interception return in the third quarter. But the Broncos, perhaps exhausted after continuous short, empty drives by the offense, gave up two long touchdown plays in the fourth quarter.
Special teams: F. The Broncos had a punt blocked deep in their own territory early in the third quarter, leading to a field goal that gave the Dolphins a 19-3 lead. Denver also had a delay of game penalty on a kickoff, surrendered a puzzling onside kick by Miami in the fourth quarter and gave up a safety after Isaiah McKenzie fumbled the ball into the end zone.
Coaching: F. The Broncos have lost eight games in a row in the second worst stretch of football in franchise history. The Broncos were pounded Sunday by a team that had lost five consecutive games. Denver made the Dolphins look like a heavyweight. That’s on a coaching staff that hasn’t been able to find anything resembling answers.
Game Balls
Kenyan Drake, Miami RB: Drake had 200 yards rushing this season before Sunday but ran for 120 yards against Denver, including a 42-yard touchdown in the third quarter that all but sealed the game.
Xavien Howard, Miami CB: His interception return for a touchdown in the first half put the Dolphins in front to stay, and he added another pick of a Trevor Siemian pass in the fourth quarter.
, Miami WR: Stills had five catches for 98 yards and a touchdown and made a deep, juggling grab from his back in the first half that helped set up another score.
