A man suspected of fatally shooting a teenaged girl in Denver has been arrested.
Shamil Jefferson, 25, is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder, police said on Friday.
Update 46th & Ceylon Homicide Investigation: Shamil Jefferson (d.o.b 04/20/1992) has been arrested in connection with the death. He is being held for investigation of 1st degree murder.

Officers were called Thursday evening to East 46th Avenue and Ceylon Court, in the Green Valley Ranch area, on a death investigation.
The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner on Friday identified the victim as 17-year-old Zalynnda Kassogue.
She died of gunshot wounds at the scene of the shooting, the coroner’s office said.
