Loveland Ski Area employee who died on the job was a father who recently returned to Colorado

GEORGETOWN, Colo. – The Loveland Ski Area employee who died in an accident while working Thursday morning was identified by his family as Adam Lee, a father who moved back to Colorado this past summer.

The ski area said that its ski patrol was in the area when the accident happened around 11 a.m. Thursday and responded immediately.

According to family, Adam Lee worked at the resort doing lift maintenance after returning to his native state of Colorado from Michigan with his wife and kids.

Lee’s sister told Denver7 that Lee was killed while working on one of the kid lifts known as the Magic Carpet. Marketing Director John Sellers said the circumstances of the accident were under investigation.

 was established on behalf of Lee’s family. As of 8 a.m. Saturday, it had raised $3,860.
