E-bikes are motorized vehicles. Yes, they can be pedaled, but often they are used as a purely motorized bicycle. In that case we would call them motorcycles, whether the motor is electric or gas. As such they do not belong on the trails unless they have a governor set at the trail limit of 15 mph. I have watched numerous reckless riders speeding along on the Cherry Creek trail during my morning commute endangering many with their speeds and poor riding behaviors.
