At least three people were involved in an altercation that ended up with a gun being fired Monday afternoon at the Walmart in west Greeley.

According to Greeley Police Lt. Scott Smith, shots were fired about 2:15 p.m. at the store, 920 47th Ave. There were no reported injuries. An uninvolved vehicle was struck by a bullet, Smith said.

A disturbance in the Walmart parking lot led to the shooting, according to witness statements and video surveillance. Smith did not immediately know how many shots were fired.

“From what we understand, while people were involved in this altercation in the parking lot, somebody came from the store, saw it and fired the gun,” Smith said.

Smith said there were at least three people involved in the fight before the shooter exited the store and fired his weapon.
