Spotlight on Dennis Schroeder: With the Hawks rebuilding after losing playoff pillars Al Horford, and Jeff Teague in recent offseasons, Schroeder is now Atlanta’s centerpiece. The point guard from Germany is averaging career-bests in scoring (19.8 points per game), assists (6.5 per game) and steals (1.1 per game) while shooting 44.2 percent from the floor. He totaled 20 points and six assists in the Hawks’ home loss to Denver in late October.
