A man suspected in his mother’s death in Las Animas was arrested Tuesday in Illinois by the U.S. Marshals Service.

A nationwide bulletin for the arrest of Robert Russell Inlow, 44, was issued in connection to the death of 62-year-old Cheryl Gray, his mother, according to Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

Inlow was taken into custody without incident, the CBI said.

Gray’s body was found Monday inside her home in the 600 block of St. Vrain Street, the CBI said. Bent County sheriff’s deputies, who were called to the home on a welfare check, found the body.

Colorado officials will seek to extradite Inlow back to the state to face charges.
