Re: “2 dead, 17 injured in Kentucky school shooting; suspect held,” Jan. 23 news story.
Once again a tragic shooting has occurred in a high school, this time in a small town in Kentucky. By last report, two students are dead and more than a dozen are injured. As a nation we are becoming numb to these type of events, as they are all too common.
It seems that we may not be asking the right question when contemplating how to prevent these sad occurrences. What I would like to know is what this young teenager would have done with his rage had he not had easy access to a gun. Whatever his outward demonstration of anger might have been, it surely would not have been as horrible if he didn’t have a gun in his hand.
