Starting Monday, a section of Brighton Boulevard between 44th Street and Interstate 70 will close for three months to improve the storm sewer lines and drainage in the area.
’ , it’s going to take a lot of work,” said Heather Burke, spokesperson for Denver Public Works. “They’re working with some pretty big storm pipes so it’s going to take some time.”
The ramps to I-70 will remain open and left turns will only be allowed from the eastbound I-70 off-ramp to Brighton Boulevard.

Detour Routes
- Southbound Brighton: go west on 46th Avenue to 44th Street to reconnect with Brighton Boulevard.
- Northbound Brighton: go west on 44th Street to 46th Avenue to reconnect with Brighton Boulevard.
