Two people were arrested following a shooting and beating at a Wheat Ridge motel that sent two people to the hospital.
Wheat Ridge police arrested Richard Roberts, 37, for investigation of second-degree assault and felony menacing, and Deidra Jarrett for investigation of tampering with evidence, third-degree assault and accessory to a crime.
The names of the victims have not been released.
At about 3:38 a.m., Wheat Ridge Police officers responded to a shooting at the Best Interstate Inn at 4735 Kipling.
Two people were injured in a fight. One of them, a man, was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot injury that was not life-threatening.
Jarrett and Roberts are being held at Jefferson County Detention Center.
Both victims have been released from the hospital.
