Semi-truck ablaze on I-70 near Georgetown; eastbound I-70 closed

Eastbound lanes have been closed as cars are detoured at the Georgetown exit

First responders are working to clear a semi-truck that is on fire on Interstate 70 near Georgetown.

Interstate 70 eastbound was temporarily closed but the left lane has been reopened, according to the state Department of Transportation. Westbound lanes are open.

State Trooper Josh Lewis said a call about the fire came in about 8:30 p.m. He did not know what caused the fire.
