Vail-raised Del Bosco has competed in since the sport was introduced in 2010 in Vancouver. But never for the U.S. Back in the early 2000s, Del Bosco was tracking toward a career with the U.S. Ski Team as well as a national mountain bike title. But he struggled with alcohol and lost his shot. Canada, the birthplace of his dad, bet on him. The 35-year-old was just tapped for this third Olympics, capping a comeback season where he won the ski cross World Cup opener in France in December after recovering from knee surgery in early 2017. With 10 World Cup wins, a world championship title and four X Games medals, Del Bosco is hoping to land his first Olympic medal in PyeongChang.
