Boulder police on Wednesday evening arrested a man carrying a sword who they allege cut another man earlier in the day.
Cody Scott Parker, 26, faces a first-degree assault charge. A woman with him, Aneta Urban, 38, faces a conspiracy charge, according to a news release.
Police did not say where officers arrested the pair but indicated that the suspects knew the victim and were arrested without incident.
Boulder police spokeswoman Laurie Ogden said the incident began when police began receiving calls of a suspicious man with a sword in his backpack near 14th and Walnut at about 3:30 p.m.
“Shortly after, we got calls from (a bank on Pearl Street) that a man was chasing someone with a sword,” Ogden said. “The next time he was seen, he was at 14th and Canyon.”
