Construction workers showed up to work on a new school building early Monday morning and found a 42-year-old Grand Junction man inside, running around naked and bloody.

According to the arrest affidavit, Allan Lee Kapualoha-Mallonee broke into Little Lambs Learning Center Pre-School in Grand Junction because he was cold. He reportedly arrived in his silver Chevy Cavalier sometime during the night, pulled a piece of copper pipe from the outside of the building’s wall and used it to break a window. There was blood on the floor due to his feet being cut from broken glass.

Kapualoha-Mallonee, who was found around 7 a.m. running around, “groaning and chanting,” admitted to being high on methamphetamine when questioned by an officer.

The pre-school to-be is at least 75 percent complete and was thoroughly secured. Managers from the construction company estimated the damage allegedly caused by Kapualoha-Mallonee will cost $2,000 to repair.

Colorado Courts show that Kapualoha-Mallonee was out on bond, released in late January after being arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence. On Monday, he was arrested for trespassing, criminal mischief and violating conditions of his bond.
