I suggest a recommendation for all who are debating senior citizen discounts. For those of you who can afford to pay full price for every purchase, do it! (And don’t forget to tip generously.) Absolutely no one is demanding that you take a special rate. There are those of us in the population who totally appreciate the offers. The Silver Sneakers program, through various health insurance companies, is but one example. I worked in my chosen profession for 54 years before retiring, was widowed many years ago, and appreciate options while living on a fixed income.
