Park Meadows mall in Lone Tree was evacuated because of a small fire Thursday afternoon.

No one was injured, and the fire — which burned in a back hallway away from the public — was contained by the mall’s sprinkler system, said Kim Spuhler, spokeswoman for South Metro Fire Rescue.

South Metro Fire Rescue received a call about the blaze at 1:52 p.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

“We’ll be in evacuation until we get everything cleaned up and smoke cleared out,” Spuhler said, adding that there didn’t appear to be any significant structural damage.
