The Denver Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday as a homicide.
Police said multiple shots were fired on West Colfax Avenue west of Knox Court shortly before 7:30 p.m. During the same incident, a car struck a building. Denver police spokesman John White said investigators are still looking into what happened and what led to the shooting.
At the time, a man was transported to a hospital, where he later was pronounced dead.
Police did not release suspect information. Authorities are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the shooting or anyone who has information about that incident to call 720-913-7867.
