Two dogs rescued from kitchen fire by Aurora firefighters

Firefighters in Aurora on Thursday rescued two dogs from flames and smoke.

A kitchen fire broke out before 3 p.m. at 4777 S. Salida Court, according to Aurora Fire Rescue.

A family of of seven was displaced by the fire. No residents or firefighters were injured, but two dogs were rescued. One dog was given resuscitation on site, and the second dog was taken to a veterinarian for care.

The fire was extinguished and contained to the kitchen.
