The Colorado Rockies announced that first pitch of the home opener would take place at 3:10 p.m., an hour later than originally scheduled, due to a weather delay Friday.

With light snow falling, the tarp on the field and temperatures in the mid-20s, the Rockies announced at 1 p.m. that Friday’s home opener against the Atlanta Braves at Coors Field was under a weather delay.

The Rockies also announced that the scheduled pre-game ceremonies have been delayed.

In the first 25 years of the Rockies’ existence, the home opener has never been postponed.
