A 27-year-old Lakewood man was shot and killed walking near Sloan’s Lake on his way to pick up a dinner order, and Edgewater Police are looking for suspects.

Andrew Jenicek was fatally shot at 8:40 p.m. Thursday at 2001 Sheridan Blvd. after getting out of his car and walking to pick up a dinner order at a local restaurant, according to an Edgewater Police Department news release.

Police are searching for occupants of a car described as a silver or white sedan, possibly a Mitsubishi Eclipse. The shooter is described as a 5 feet, 6 inches tall Hispanic man weighing 150 pounds with black hair in a fade-style haircut.

Jenicek, who police described as an athlete, grew up in Littleton and graduated from D’Evelyn High School.
