Colorado Springs Police Department officers have taken a first-degree murder and robbery suspect into custody after a standoff that lasted about three hours on Thursday.

The suspect, whose name has not been released, barricaded himself inside a house in the 2400 block of Lexus Drive, which is southeast of South Academy Boulevard and El Morro Road, according to Colorado Springs police.

Officers evacuated neighbors. As of 2:20 p.m., officers had talked the suspect into coming out, police spokesman Lt. Howard Black said. Neither the suspect nor cops were injured.

Both SWAT and violent-crime units were on scene.
