One person was killed and another was seriously injured after a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 near Grape Street early Sunday, Denver Police said.

Police spokesman Sgt. John White said investigators are still looking into the cause. They have ruled out alcohol and drugs as possibilities.

The wreck occurred around 4 a.m. Although police initially tweeted that two vehicles had been involved, it was only one.

The eastbound lanes of I-70 were closed at Stapleton Drive for more than three hours after the crash.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
