The Aurora Police Department asked morning commuters to avoid the area near Colfax Avenue and Interstate 225 after busted traffic lights caused multiple accidents.
Just before 8:30 a.m., police said the traffic lights had been fixed but warned commuters to avoid the area moments earlier because of multiple accidents.
The on and off ramps were affected, according to police.
“Please avoid the area or you might be stuck here for a while,” Aurora Police said in a tweet.
