A man was shot and killed in Northglenn on Saturday night by Westminster Police after he displayed a weapon in the 500 block of Malley Drive.
Members of the Westminster Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team and Safe Streets Task Force contacted the man, who was wanted by authorities, about 6:37 p.m. When he displayed a weapon, officers fired at the suspect, according to a Northglenn police spokeswoman.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is being investigated by the Adams County Critical Incident Team.
