Mostly sunny days will be sweeping the partly cloudy skies away this weekend, Denver.

The National Weather Service said mainly dry and warm weather should prevail throughout the Front Range on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday’s forecast boasts a high of 77 degrees, which should be ideal for inhaling ice cream cones, petting dogs in the park or giving your athletic shoes a run for their money.

Over the mountains, meteorologists noted a slight chance of a late day shower or storm that could make its way to the Front Range by Sunday evening.

Sunday should see an equally warm and sunny afternoon with a matching high of 77 degrees. A thunderstorm could roll through Sunday night, but that would be a fitting departure to a weekend best spent outside, anyway.

Warmer temperatures hovering in the 80s are expected next week, so make sure to strike while the iron is less hot and pick up some cool beverages to get you through the work week.
