At least a dozen vehicle owners in Lakewood’s Belmar neighborhood woke up Wednesday morning to find their tires slashed “for no apparent reason at all,” according to the Lakewood Police Department.

The vandalism happened overnight at West Center Avenue and South Upham Street, a residential neighborhood south of the Belmar shopping center.

Photos of the incident show investigators taking notes next to vehicles with completely flat tires that have slash marks on them.

Anyone with information about what happened is asked to call the Lakewood Police Department at 303-980-7300 to contribute to the police’s investigation.
