At least a dozen vehicle owners in Lakewood’s Belmar neighborhood woke up Wednesday morning to find their tires slashed “for no apparent reason at all,” according to the Lakewood Police Department.
The vandalism happened overnight at West Center Avenue and South Upham Street, a residential neighborhood south of the Belmar shopping center.
A sad start to the day for some residents near W Center Ave in Belmar. We had upwards of 10 cars have their tires slashed overnight, for no apparent reason at all. If anyone has info, please call LPD at (303) 980-7300. We are currently investigating.
