An 18-year-old man has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder in a triple shooting that happened last week in the Villa Park neighborhood.

Angel Gallegos also has been charged with first-degree assault and committing a crime of violence, a sentence enhancer, according to Ken Lane, spokesman for Denver District Attorney Beth McCann.

The charges were direct filed on Tuesday, Lane said in a news release.

On May 30, Gallegos allegedly shot and killed 16-year-old Anthony Martinez and 25-year-old Raymond Flores and seriously injured a third man in the 600 block of Perry Street.

The probable cause statement in this case has been sealed and authorities are not releasing Gallegos’ photograph.
