Saturday in Denver is expected to be sunny with a high of 96 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Sunday should be much of the same, although the high is set at one degree cooler. There’s a slight chance thunderstorms could roll through for some relief just before midnight.

The beginning of the week looks hot, dry and breezy, with temperatures hovering in the mid-90s and no clouds in sight.

In southern Colorado, including the region surrounding the massive Spring Creek fire, the forecast showed Mother Nature would not be a huge help for firefighters this weekend. Temperatures would be in the mid-80s with minimal chances of precipitation on Saturday, according to Kyle Mozley, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Pueblo. Sunday looks similar.
