Driver died after crashing into a tree in Aurora Saturday morning

The identities of the driver and an injured passenger have not been released

A driver died Saturday morning after crashing a car into a tree shortly after 4 a.m. on South Ceylon Way near East Floyd Avenue in Aurora.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a statement from the Aurora Police Department. An adult woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Neither has been identified.

Police are investigating whether alcohol and speed were factors that led to the collision.
