A man was shot and killed by Aurora police early Monday after a suspected home invasion.

The shooting occurred at East Montview Boulevard and Iola Street around 1:30 a.m., according to The Denver Channel.

A second man was found dead in the house.

This was the second fatal shooting involving an Aurora police officer in two days. Early Sunday morning, officers followed a stolen truck from Aurora into Adams County, Adams County sheriff’s spokesman Jim Morgen said. A police officer shot and killed a man who was allegedly driving the stolen truck. The suspect spun around in a dead-end street and rammed several police cars, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

The Adams County Critical Incident Team is leading the investigation into the Sunday shooting.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
