A man fatally shot multiple times by an Uber driver on Interstate 25 in Denver last month was drunk at the time of his death, an autopsy report says.

Hyun Kim, 45, was intoxicated when he was fatally shot June 1, the Denver Coroner’s Office said in the report.

Kim had a blood alcohol concentration of .308, which was nearly four times the legal limit for alcohol when he was shot six times, the report says.

The cause of death is homicide, the report said.

Michael Hancock, 29, is being held without bond on a charge of first-degree murder in the Denver city jail in the 2:45 a.m. shooting of Kim on southbound I-25 near University Boulevard. Hancock is not related to Denver’s mayor.

The autopsy was performed at 8:35 a.m., nearly six hours after the shooting.

Kim was shot six times including one gunshot wound to the right side of his chest, one to the back on the right side, one to the right buttock, one in the right calf and two in the right knee, according to the autopsy report.

The bullet that entered his back fragmented with most of it remaining in his neck and a fragment exiting his neck, the autopsy says.

Ten bullet casings were discovered near Hancock’s vehicle. Kim’s body was found slumped in his car.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
