Body found in Aurora home, police treating case as homicide

Aurora police have opened a homicide investigation after a man’s body was found in an Aurora home Monday morning.

According to a news release, at about 7:29 a.m., officers responded to a report of a suspicious occurrence at 12041 E. Harvard Ave. When they arrived, they found an unresponsive male inside the home. He was declared dead at the scene.

The Aurora Major Crimes/Homicide Unit is investigating the incident as a homicide. The investigation is still in its early stages.

The Aurora Police Department is asking anyone with information about this incident to contact Detective Heath Graw with the Major Crimes/Homicide Unit at 303-739-6213, or call our tip line at 303-739-6400. Tipsters can also remain anonymous and be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 by calling Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office pending positive identification and the notification of next of kin.
