A 23-year-old Fort Collins bicyclist was seriously injured Thursday morning after a vehicle struck her and drove away, according to Colorado State Patrol.

The bicyclist was riding north about 6:30 a.m. in the bike lane on North Overland Trail when an unknown vehicle hit her from behind. The woman, who law enforcement did not identify, suffered serious bodily injury.

The driver of the vehicle left the scene.

Investigators with the Colorado State Patrol ask anybody with information about the hit-and-run to call 303-239-4501. They said the suspect vehicle should have damage to its front end.
