The scent of wildfires will be all around Denverites Friday, as smoke from more than 100 large wildfires burning out of control in the west wafts over the metro area.
Thick smoky air and hot temperatures are on the radar in Denver Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
The high temperature will be around 91 degrees.

The heat will continue through the weekend with temperatures reaching 90 degrees on Saturday and 91 on Sunday.
A few isolated storms could bring rain showers and thunderstorms to parts of the Denver metro area on Saturday night.
Temperatures will peak in the mid-to-upper 80s Monday through Thursday.
