A pedestrian was killed Thursday night in southwest Denver when hit by an RTD light-rail train.

The collision happened about 9 p.m. in the area of West Bayaud Avenue and South Santa Fe Drive, according to Denver police.

The H-Line was shut down, and motor-vehicle traffic in the area was rerouted. The victim was not identified.

An investigation is ongoing.
