Kairo Alejandres-VizcainoA 21-year-old man charged with attempted murder after shooting up a police command post in southwest Denver in May pleaded guilty Thursday in Denver District court.
Kairo Alejandres-Vizcaino pleaded guilty to one count of attempted murder-extreme indifference, with a stipulated 25-year prison sentence.
On May 5, Vizaino shot into a Denver Police Department Command Post, which had officers sitting inside, at South Federal Boulevard and West Arkansas Avenue.
Vizcaino fled in a car before crashing into a police vehicle. He was subsequently arrested.
A sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 26, 2018.
