Warm, sunny day ahead for Broncos season opener, Rockies game

No rain is expected today; temperatures to warm to low 90s this week

Fans donning their jerseys to head to the Broncos or Rockies games Sunday afternoon will be met with indisputably lovely weather.

Temperatures could climb to 87 degrees this afternoon and the skies will stay sunny, . Unlike many recent days, the service reported no chance for rain this afternoon.

Denver is expected to stay warm the rest of the week, with high temperatures hovering in the low 90s. The days are expected to be sunny and there is no rain forecast.

For those not interested in sports, this sunny Sunday offers . Trees in the mountains have started to change to their bright autumn colors due to drought conditions. Aspens along Guanella Pass outside Georgetown have burst into yellows and oranges — a sure sign of cooler weather to come. Weather there is expected to be about 10 degrees cooler than in Denver, but just as sunny.
