A fatal crash on Interstate 70 near Genesee Park closed all eastbound lanes of the highway at exit 244 Monday afternoon.

A 21-year-old woman was killed in the crash near mile marker 255, Colorado State Patrol spokesman Josh Lewis said. A 23-year-old man was transported to St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood with minor injuries. Investigators believe the woman was driving the car, a white Mazda, when it crashed.

Colorado State Patrol received a report of a rollover crash at that location about 2:42 p.m. Monday, Lewis said.

The crash happened near the median of the interstate. Authorities first closed the road at exit 253 but by 3:30 p.m. had pushed the closure to U.S. Highway 6 at exit 244.  All eastbound lanes were reopened at 5:30 p.m.
