Eleven days ago, a Lyft driver from Littleton told his family that he was going to pick up a few riders and make some cash.

He hasn’t been seen since.

Jeffrey Carter, 26, left his house about 6:30 a.m. Sept. 8, but never accessed his Lyft app, said Lauren Lekander, spokeswoman for the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, which is leading the search.

Investigators don’t believe his disappearance is suspicious, but said it’s unlike Carter to disappear and not contact anybody.

“At this point, they’re not thinking any foul play,” Lekander said. “It’s just unusual behavior.”

Lyft has been in contact with law enforcement working on the case, company spokeswoman Lauren Alexander said. Carter has not accessed his Lyft app since several days before he went missing, she said.

Carter was wearing green plaid pajama pants and a green shirt when he left. He’s white with red hair and green eyes and is about 5-foot-10-inches tall and 170 pounds.

He was driving a 2017 silver Nissan Altima with red and white Colorado plates TQL490. The Nissan was a Hertz rental car, Lekander said.

Officials asked that anybody with information about Carter or the vehicle call 303-814-7056.
