Chip, the Colorado Buffaloes’ mascot, is using an unfortunate on-field mishap to bring attention to a golf tournament fundraiser for the .

“Proceeds go towards travel expenses, jerseys, and better t-shirt cannons!” the mascot tweeted Thursday.

The at Coal Creek Golf Course in Lousiville. An individual entry is $100 and a team of four players is $400.

Chip garnered national attention this week after video showed the mascot shooting itself in the groin with a T-shirt gun at last Saturday’s college football game against New Hampshire at Folsom Field.

Chip was carted off the field but later returned to the game.
