Roxborough State Park is closed for the second day in a row while Douglas County sheriff’s deputies and state parks rangers search for a person considered to be suicidal, authorities say.

The nearly 4,000-square-acre park, located south of Denver, was closed at 10 a.m. Monday after Colorado Parks and Wildlife learned about the suicidal person.

“They haven’t found them yet,” CPW spokesman Jason Clay said Tuesday.

Authorities have not released any description of the suicidal person so far. The name, gender and age of the person has not been released.

“I can’t release a lot,” Clay said.

Officials said the park would reopen Wednesday morning while the sheriff’s office continues its investigation.
