Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has taken the NFL by storm with unprecedented success thanks to a variety of did-he-just-do-that moments spread out between 13 passing touchdowns entering Monday nightap showdown against the Broncos.
No quarterback in NFL history has found the end zone more through the first three weeks of a season.
But here’s the thing — another Mahomes’ statistic is even more impressive. He’s attempted 93 passes through three games. Zero resulted in interceptions.
The key?
“Just having a good game plan and knowing when to take chances and shots and then when to take whatap there,” Mahomes said in a conference call with the Denver media today. “Whenever you’re upright and the line is blocking for you, you can see the holes and the receivers getting open and it makes my job a lot easier.”
The Broncos’ defense has not produced a takeaway in the last two games and has only one interception this year.
