Clouds will sweep over Denver on Friday and the air will feel like something important is missing – warmth.
The high temperature will only reach 54 degrees, giving the Mile High City a late autumn feel, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
While it will be cloudy and cool across the plains, it will be sunny and warm in the Colorado high country.
By Saturday, the coolness of Friday will be all but forgotten. The temperature will climb to a summer-like high of 87 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
Temperatures will stay fairly steady Sunday through Thursday, with temperatures ranging from the mid 70s to low 80s, according to the weather service.
Cloudy and cool across the plains today. Sunny skies and warm temperatures will continue over the mountains.
